A former co-worker took a video of the restaurant I work at and posted it online. I told the manager about it because I love my job and the people I work with and would hate to see anything bad happen to the restaurant. The video is the cook going around the kitchen showing all the disgusting things that are in the restaurant. Of course he takes the video after we have a busy rush when there are a lot of dishes, food pushed under the grill and fryers, all the gross things that 75% of the time aren’t there. It was before he did his nightly cleaning duties as well and the video makes it look like we should be shut down. We are open 24/7, 365 so come on, how clean can we really get the place.

I guess I’m just wondering what you guys would do if it was your restaurant. I take pride in the place I work at and have been trying my best to defend it. Especially when I know that when I work graveyards I and it was slow I was cleaning like crazy, even scrubbing the floors on my hands and knees. The video was taken over 6 months ago and is now starting to go around Facebook, even some of my friends and shared it and is passing it around. I’ve posted my comments on them as well telling them that’s not like the video. We even had a surprise inspection from the Health Department because they saw the video.

Any advice would be nice, I’m not sure what to do or how to go about taking the video down. I know that’s not really my responsibility either but I just hate for more people to see the video and think that they shouldn’t eat here anymore.
