The old trick of bars replacing premium liquor with low-quality liquor to increase profits is no longer being tolerated in New Jersey. 29 bars and restaurants, 13 of them being TGI Fridays, were caught by New Jersey officials selling cheap liquor to patrons who thought they were purchasing a premium brand.

The yearlong investigation began after several complaints from patrons.
