Bartender’s Lottery Ticket Tip Turns Out To Be Worth $17,500

Last week Aurora Kephart, an Oregon bartender at Conway’s Restaurant and Lounge, received the tip of a lifetime.

When a regular customer tipped her with two Keno tickets Kephart thought nothing of it since her customers often did so. But when she checked the numbers she was shocked to find that one of the tickets had won her $17,500.

In an interview with The Register-Guard newspaper, Kephart says

“The look on his face was incredible. I automatically handed it back to him; it was his ticket.”

But the man, who wants to remain anonymous, refused to take it and made her sign the ticket so that she would be the only one who could claim it.

Once Kephart cashed in the ticket she gave the man a percentage of her winnings.

“I just couldn’t not give him some of it.”
