Hi fellow servers! I work for this restaurant chain, that gives their employees shifts/hrs according to their tip percentage report. When a server closes out the check for the added gratuity, on a credit/debit card, the computer keeps track of what “percentage” of a tip was given to the server. The computer generates an average percentage from all the servers at that current location. If you are under that average, you are 1st cut, you are never allowed to close, and your hours/shifts are going to be scarce.
Do you feel that this is right ? To be judged by the type of tip percentage you make???
