The Deathly Allergy At The OG

I will never understand the people who have a deathly allergy (or worse, their kids do) and they put their trust in a complete stranger working at a restaurant and expect their server to be a licensed dietitian…

Cara: How do you feel about parents giving drinks of alcoholic beverages to children, in this particular case the baby couldn’t have been more then 6 months. We had to literally send a manager to the table to ask them to stop. This is the note they left…

Note Reads:

To Whom It May Concern:
Ohio Revised Code Section 4301.69
Children can legally drink with their parents if underage.

Giving my child a few sips of beer is perfectly ok, however letting them drink pop or have candy can have long term negative effects to their health. Concern yourself with things that matter. Thanks for the food.

Could My Server Act More Black Please?

All my life I have been told that I speak like a white man and present myself as a white man….that I am simply not black enough….what exactly does that mean? Last night was not an exception. Last night, I waited on a rude couple (African American) who at the end of their dining experience, decided to write me this on the check. I was so shocked that all I could do was laugh…not laugh at the check itself but their sheer stupidity. The sad thing is the mentality comes from expectations of a negative stereotype of a black man from another black man but cry wolf if another man of another ethnicity calls out the negative actions. I am a human being first and foremost who also happens to be of African American decent. My focus in life isn’t “being black “…its being a good human being….to God and myself and the people in my life! A man by definition, is supposed to be courageous, have a sense of morals and responsibility….a man of compassion….great compassion…to immerse oneself in education and face the challenges in life head on with the will of God! So I am not black enough? Okay well….I am black enough for me but I am a great man! A gentleman! And I really pray that there will come a day when the whole world wakes up! My name is Lamont Reed, I am a man of compassion and I am proud of me and who I am….I am proud to just be me and show love to my friends and families of all ethnicities and I even have my own flag to wave…my big L flag! For Lamont, of course.
