Waiter’s response to man trying to eat without hands goes viral

A “regular” at a Cinco De Mayo Mexican Grill was enjoying a leisurely Sunday meal when something out of the ordinary caught his eye.

Reginald Widener was sitting at the bar when he turned around to see a young waiter sitting across from a customer inside a booth nearby.

While closely examining the situation, Widener realized that the man didn’t have hands, and 22-year-old server Alex Ruiz was helping him eat.

“He had a smile on his face the entire time,” Widener told CBS News. “He didn’t complain about it; it looked like he really cared.”

Signed The Black Guy

After receiving bad service, a customer left this unexpected note and tip behind for his server…

Note Reads:

Dear Patricia T,

I am attempting to show you more kindness and attention than you showed me today. I have also arranged to buy your meal during your shift with your manager as well. I was once a server and I know it sucks! I had crappy days and bad tippers but never gave attitude. It was always about guarding my words and actions and rising to the job I was hired to do. Take the money and buy a snickers.

“The black guy they sat in your section and you didn’t want to serve because the don’t tip”

Have you ever adjusted your service based on a stereotype?

You Should Have Telepathically Known I Had An Allergy

Michelle: Dear Cheesecake Factory can I please make a suggestion for people who have allergies. I went for the second time and my order had onion rings and I noticed that they seamed “off” I asked my server if the oil they used to cook the rings and fries in was were they cooked the shrimp and fish in and she did not know but would check for me. Upon returning she she said YES they did they use the same oil for EVERY THING! I am allergic to fish and shell fish and know of others who are, there was nothing listed on your menu stating that the oil was used for every thing; so you may what to list this for future use so people like myself will know. PS I was not even offed something else as a side or a discount so that is something you might want to address also.
